A New Arrival to the CQ Family

Hey There CQ Fans!

So sorry it has been so long since I have posted.  It was a whirlwind of a Summer.  I can't believe it is already Fall. Truly, where has the time gone?

For those of you who follow us on Facebook and Twitter, you may have already heard the news, but in case you didn't I thought I would share this special update with you.  For the past few weeks we have been celebrating the arrival of a new member to the CQ family.  Our very own producer, Melissa, and her husband have welcomed in to this world a beautiful baby girl named Avery.  I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to this sweet little girl.

I know!  She is gorgeous right?

She has brought much joy to the CQ family and we are so happy for Producer Melissa!  Congrats to her and her husband.

In other CQ news, we have been hard at work on new Curiosity Quest episodes.   Some of the locations that we recently filmed at are; Mrs. Grossman's Stickers, Frito Lay Factory, Long Beach Aquarium, and the Hodu Soy Beanery.  Can you guess what you will learn about in these episodes? Post your guesses in the comments section on this page.

Also, stay tuned in the near future for a special announcement coming your way.

Thank you for being such awesome fans!  We couldn't do it without you!

CQ Wins a Telly Award!!!

When it comes to Telly Awards,

Curiosity Quest Goes Green is “racking them up”

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./July 2013 --- National PBS Show “Curiosity Quest Goes Green” has recently been awarded with their 16th Telly Award.  The episode that was bestowed this honor is the “Kids and Recycling” episode.  Created in partnership with Mojave Dessert and Mountain Recycling, the “Kids and Recycling” episode follows Greene as he ventures through the Victorville Valley MRF to answer various letters from kids wanting to learn about the recycling process. “We were so excited that we were able to use not one, but five “quest letters” from kids AND we were able to put all five of these kids on camera!” says Greene.

The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web.

Joel Greene, host of Curiosity Quest presents newest Telly Award to producer Melissa Duke

Celebrate Earth Day with Joel's Daughter

Hey there CQ fans!

I am so excited that Spring is here! Do you know what that means?  It means that Earth Day is near! It is on Monday, April 22nd.

I happen to love the month of April.  Do you?

Here at Curiosity Quest we spend a lot of time doing episodes on "Going Green."  We have learned so much about how to help take care of our planet.  April means Earth Day celebrations! Earth Day gives me a chance to participate in events where I can share with students all that I have learned from doing the Curiosity Quest Goes Green episodes.

This past weekend I had the honor of hosting an Earth Day event in my home town.  I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of CQ fans and I had the opportunity to learn new tips on how to help our planet.  My daughter joined me at this event and was so inspired that she wanted to share some of the tips that she learned with you.  Watch the video to meet Devyn and see how she helps the planet.

Make sure to leave a comment below to tell Devyn and I  what you do to help take care of Planet Earth.

In the meantime, Happy Earth Day!

Joel Visits Daytona Beach, Florida

Hey there CQ Fans!

Happy March to everyone!

I just returned from a business trip that took me from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia. I have been to Savannah a couple of times now, and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities. Have you been there?

After visiting Savannah, I then drove to Florida to visit a few friends. What a beautiful drive. I feel so grateful that I have had the opportunity to visit so much of our awesome country. While in Florida, I was able to spend one night in Daytona Beach. If you have ever been to Daytona Beach, then you know that it is a pretty cool place. There is something specific about Daytona Beach that makes it unique. Do you know what that is? Watch the video above and I will tell you.

In the meantime,  we are in the pre-production stage of a new season, so keep your letters coming.  Who knows,  we might choose your letter for our next "Curiosity Quest."

Until next time, Stay Curious!

Who Will Win The Super Bowl?

Hey there CQ fans, I hope that your New Year is off to a great start.  I know that mine is.

The Curiosity Quest team is hard at work trying to bring you new and exciting episodes.   I think that you are going to like what we have in store for you.

We recently filmed and episode in Las Vegas, Nevada where we learned how ice sculptures are made.  It was so awesome, but so incredibly cold.   The warehouse where we filmed was 17 degrees.  Absolutely freezing!  I have a new appreciation for the incredible art of ice sculpting.

I can't wait to share this episode with you, along with the other fantastic shows that we have in store.

Check out this video vlog.  I am reading some of the great letters that I get from fans, and I also have a question for you.  Check out the video and make your comments below.

In the meantime,
Stay Curious!
