Celebrate Earth Day with Joel's Daughter

Hey there CQ fans!

I am so excited that Spring is here! Do you know what that means?  It means that Earth Day is near! It is on Monday, April 22nd.

I happen to love the month of April.  Do you?

Here at Curiosity Quest we spend a lot of time doing episodes on "Going Green."  We have learned so much about how to help take care of our planet.  April means Earth Day celebrations! Earth Day gives me a chance to participate in events where I can share with students all that I have learned from doing the Curiosity Quest Goes Green episodes.

This past weekend I had the honor of hosting an Earth Day event in my home town.  I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of CQ fans and I had the opportunity to learn new tips on how to help our planet.  My daughter joined me at this event and was so inspired that she wanted to share some of the tips that she learned with you.  Watch the video to meet Devyn and see how she helps the planet.

Make sure to leave a comment below to tell Devyn and I  what you do to help take care of Planet Earth.

In the meantime, Happy Earth Day!

Stay Curious!

~ Joel

  3. Hi! At my school, the Recycling Club, a group of sixth graders, picks up paper recycling from the classrooms and has been thinking of ideas to help the school be more helpful to the Earth. We decided to plant flowers. We have sunflowers growing now, in a planter that disintegrates if you plant it in the ground. On Earth Day, if the weather is good, we will have students replant them into the ground.

  4. I think that she has an idea, but she did really good.

My name is Emily and I think that if you also plant a tree on earth day, it would help because right around my area, that is like country/city, they are cutting a lot of trees down, and they aren't leaving the stumps so they can grow back either. So help the earth, do what she said, do what I said, and we will all breathe better!!!!

  5. I save all of my aluminum cans, plastic bottles, soup cans, newspapers, and anything else that can be recycled. There aren't many recycling places where I live in Montana, but I enjoy making the trip to recycle what I collect.
